Friends of Steilacoom Library is an organization of community residents who support and promote public library service. In cooperation with library staff, we: sponsor special programs and presentations in the library donate items to the library's collections help provide needed furnishings and equipment act as a liaison between the community and the library raise funds for library support activities enjoy watching our library grow and improve Enrich our community through library involvement. Steilacoom Library Used Book Sale 31 May and 1 June Friends of Steilacoom Library and American Legion Post 53 will hold a book sale at the Steilacoom library on Friday 31 May and Saturday 01 June. Hours are: Friday, 11 AM to 6 PM; Saturday, 11 AM to 4 PM. Books can be donated at Espresso by the Bay: Steilacoom Pub & Grill; Dr. McDade's Dental Office, 1701 Lafayette; and Topside Restaurant, Rainier & Wilkes. Topside will offer a 10% discount on patrons' bills on Sundays to those who donate books for the sale. The Steilacoom Library has a great volunteer group that supports library events and helps improve the quality of service. The group is "Friends of the Steilacoom Library." All are eligible to join. New At the Library: Card holders can now check out free passes to the Museum of Glass, in addition to free passes for the Tacoma Art Museum, Washington State History Museum, and Children's Museum of Tacoma.
